What is jahboo.com?

jahboo.com is Jamaica’s Micro-blogging Social Network, Search & Video Portal. Think of it as competition to Google + Yahoo + Facebook + Twitter + YouTube rolled into one site serving the Jamaican market home and abroad but without the clutter and the noise and a seamless user experience. Currently only the micro-blogging component has been released powered on shoutem network.

Features of jahboo.com media tool bar: Powered by conduit and Google it is a TRUST-E site, thus one of the safest properties on the Internet for our users.

For starters there is the jahboo logo at the top right, followed by a black search box, Dictionary.com, e-mail notifications. Key features on toolbar are RSS new feed for ABC, BBC, CNN, REUTERS, Guardian, The Wall Street Transcript and all prominent local online newspapers.

Then there is the TV Channel widget that has TV videos from USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. The fun stuff comes after that being the Gadgets widget which is comprised of 18 applications such as travelocity, NY Times Classic Crossword,
and YouTube top 10 videos. Social network icons and links to MySpace, Twitter , and Facbook. Completing the jahboo media toolbar is the Games widget with several familiar games that users can partake in at the click of the mouse such as Sudoku, Chess, Checkers and much more.
