Samuels Ends Summer League in Impressive Style

Undrafted power forward Samardo Samuels ended his summer league audition for the Chicago Bulls last night with an impressive performance against the Portland Trailblazers.

Samuels, who in five games averaged 12.5 points and seven rebounds per game in 22 minutes of play, is considered a lock by many to make the final Bulls roster this fall after displaying a variety of moves around the basket, and impressive overall strength and toughness.

In the game against the Sacramento Kings last Friday night, Samuels showed he belonged by taking it to Demarcus Cousins, the 6’ 11” center who was the fifth overall pick in the just concluded NBA draft. With the signing of free agent Carlos Boozer earlier, Samuels could serve as a worth back-up off the bench, or the third string power forward.
